Welcome to Spring Term in Year 1. Here is where you will find out what’s going on in class and updates.
Routines
Please read daily with your child and make a comment in their reading record. Practise reading the speedy sounds and the story words before you read the book.
PE Days: PE will take place on a Monday and Thursday.
Pupils must come to school wearing school PE kit.
Please remember that PE kit during these guidelines is as follows:
- Blue shorts
- White t-shirt
- Plain navy tracksuit
- Navy blue jogging bottoms/leggings
- Plain navy blue sweatshirt/jacket
- PE Kits should have no logos on.
In Year 1 children are expected to:
- Read daily at home
- Complete the maths homework task each week
- Complete the half termly RE homework task
- Practise weekly spellings
Weekly spelling lists will be uploaded onto Google Classroom on Mondays. Spellings will be tested the following Monday. Maths homework sheets will be sent home on Mondays. Please bring them back in the following Monday.
